Fake Messiah

I was expecting this to be one of those metal bands that has a female vocalist and they try to be Arch Enemy or something and add all of the clean singing and still be metal.

I did not get what I was expecting, this girl can scream, growl, and she can do it damn well. The band is called Fake Messiah, they are from Switzerland, and they are releasing new material and a new album very soon.

The song is pretty good, I am just blown away at how good this vocalist sounds, I recommend listening to this when you have a moment (or two)

Centinex

WARNING: This band is HEAVY. Seriously, if you suck and can't handle the heavy shit, get out while you still can.

With a name like Centinex, I was expecting something heavy, and alien sounding. I was NOT disappointed in the least. Something about a fast riff, and gang vocals really lifts my spirits.

The Swedish band is preparing to release the comeback album "Redeeming Filth" November 21st in Europe and December 9th here in North America. They have been a band since 1990, disbanded in 2006 and are now relaunching themselves at audiences everywhere!!

Upcoming shows:

25.10 2014 CZE - Pilsen - Phantoms of Pilsen Festival
26.06 2015 GER - Protzen - Protzen Open Air

I'm listening to the track "When Bodies are Deformed" from the upcoming record over and over, it sounds like Cannibal Corpse and Slayer had a baby. And I'm glad to have met this amazing offspring.

Check out Centinex and be sure to order the album "Redeeming Filth" available soon in Europe and the United States in just around a month now!

UPDATE: New tracks have been released, and I am getting stoked for the release of this album!

Sunquake

I listened to a song by the French band Sunquake today, and I have nothing to say other than I'm very impressed by the quality or their recording, and the dynamic changes of the song.

They remind me a lot of bands like Between the Buried and Me, The Contortionist, or Mastodon. And that to me a a really good thing. Probably closer to The Contortionist, but I feel those band's vibes in there.

Please take a moment to listen to this band's latest single, and keep on the lookout for new things from them coming soon!
