Right now I'm jamming out to Wind Cries Mary, a group out of London, Ontario, and they are actually playing a show TONIGHT with a previously posted band (Bring Me The Author) so small world.
The sound I'm getting is fast, heavy, groovy, well executed, and melodic all at just the right times. There is something that is detrimental to the success of a band that they have done, and I applaud these gentlemen for the incredible quality of the recordings. The tracks are layered very well, nothing is being drowned out by guitar or vocals, very well done.
Another thing that I still enjoy, is the use of sound clips, and gang vocals. Just things that should never die when it comes to the composition of music. Nothing here is crammed with fancy effects, though some are used, it is done tastefully.
I'm not just talking about one particular song here, I sat and listened to the recent uploads, but if I had to chose a favorite, I would say it is "Syrian Standoff" from their 2014 release titled Infinity (be sure to get a hold of that somehow)
